All good, I'm trying to make space to install protools, but good so far...
I'm having a terrible time setting up my Pro Tools. I have been accepted as a student and paid, but can't link my Pro Tools account to iLOK. This is the second day I've been trying with no luck. I set up an iLOk account and wrote down my username and password, but now iLOK won't recognize them. They have no contact and their 'Help' is no help.
I finally got iLOK linked to Pro Tools. The track I picked (16 Tracks) is Wesley Morgans 'Poor Boy' but it is Mixed Stems (instead of Full Multitrack), Mixes full Preview = MP3. Is this alright?
Georgina-what is the gmail that we are supposed to be using to communicate with Caridad for the mixing class?

I have decided to drop the class. I regret the decision knowing from our first meeting that you are a good and fun instructor, but upon examination, going from my experience so far, Pro Tools appears too difficult for someone with my set of computer skills. Being 76 years old, I don't have the easy familiarity of someone who grew up computing. Even getting on the platform took me forever and was very agonizing. Pro Tools agreed to refund my $99 one year student subscription. I do plan on continuing Mixing 101, hoping I can stumble through and learn enough to record using Reaper. Wish me luck,

I understand. ProTools is a beast of a DAW and Reaper is accessible. I hope you mix well! We will be diving into particularities of eq, plugins, and mixing in the next few classes as we get beyond the specifics of ProTools and dive into working in a DAW.
